Reproducing the perfection of world-reknowned directorAkira Kurosawa's films as cuisine.Following such a script,Restaurant Kurosawa began shooting in December 1999.Along with immaculate preparation and comforting service,we offer our customers the illusion of being in the midst of a Kurosawa film at a reasonable price.In a relaxed style akin to being a guest at the director's home,one can savour the Kurosawa household's original menu.Restaurant Kurosawa is located in Chiyoda-Ku's Nagata-cho,an appopriate center for introducingJapan's prized cuisine to the world.

				All items on the menu are modeled after those actually served at the home of the director, a great meat-lover.His choice of high-quality pork and beef directly shipped in from the southern prefecture of kagoshima, as well as game cock from Satsuma are our speciality. The course menu has been designed to bring out the best in these rare ingredients,and seasoned in Director Kurosawa's preferred style.Our soba (Japanese noodles)is hand-made here by a specialist trained at the famed restaurant "Okina" in Yamanashi prefecture,using flour milled freshly on a stone mortar.The wine and sake lists have been carefully selected to match the dishes on the menu.

	Restaurant Kurosawa's interior and exterior designs are the work of Director Kurosawa's art staff.Stepping into the building, reminiscent of "Yojimbo" on the outside and "Red Beard" in the inside,one can enjoy the feeling of having stepped onto a film set.The plates are originally crafted in the aritayaki pottery style.Other props include various Kurosawa memorabilia, and adorning the walls are some of his sketchings regarded as art pieces.The restraurant is divided into four sections;VIP rooms,Private diningroom,Main dining and a Soba restaurant.We welcome you,your family and friends to our restaurant,frequented by personages from all over the world longing for a Kurosawa experience.
